Updates
TchueKAM keeps itself up to date automatically. No manual reinstalls.
How it works
- TchueKAM checks for new releases on startup (after a 30-second delay) and every 4 hours while running.
- When a new release is found, it downloads in the background — no interruption.
- Once the download finishes, you'll see a notification: "Update ready — restart now or later".
- Clicking Restart now applies the update in a few seconds.
- Clicking Later queues the update for the next time you close TchueKAM.

Manual update check
If you want to check immediately:
- Settings → Updates → Check now
Update channel
By default, TchueKAM follows the stable channel — only fully tested releases.
If you want early access to upcoming features, switch to beta in Settings → Updates → Channel. Beta releases are rolled out 1–2 weeks before stable.
Skipping a version
If a release introduces a problem for you, Settings → Updates → Pause updates lets you skip new versions until you re-enable. Use sparingly — security fixes ship in regular releases.
Update history
Every applied update is logged in Settings → Updates → History with version, date, and whether it succeeded.
What if an update fails?
If an update fails to download or install:
- TchueKAM falls back to the previous version automatically
- The failure is logged in Settings → Updates → History
- The next periodic check will retry
You can also manually download the latest installer and run it on top of your existing install — your settings and data will be preserved.
Network and proxies
Updates use HTTPS to GitHub Releases (github.com, objects.githubusercontent.com). If you're behind a corporate proxy, configure it in Settings → Network → HTTP Proxy.
